So The Season Begins

As much as I enjoy autumn and all the beautiful colors the Christmas season has to be my favorite. Sure it is a busy time with planning a meal, shopping and decorating, I just cannot resist all the lights and the music and ,more importantly, celebrating the birth of Jesus. I love all the opportunities that are available for worship. And what mother can't resist the excitement on the face of their children as they eagerly await the arrival of Christmas Day. I know I can't. Who cares about getting gifts when the biggest gift of all is knowing your children are excited and having the time of their life.

It was cold and snowing this morning as I was taking dd to preschool. I had Christmas music playing in the car and dd was chatting away about building a snowman. Too bad the snow won't stick around for a bit. But it was just enough to set the mood for today as I set about preparing to get the house decorated for the glorious season to come.
