I absolutely love being a full time mommy. The joy of seeing every step of my little girl's development as it happens is just one of the perks of being a mother. The downside is that there are no sick days. It is so difficult dealing with an active toddler when you are sick. I have been living with a cold since Saturday. Oh how I can't wait until nap time comes around when I can actually lay down and rest. Today is Wednesday which means my little girl gets to spend the day at her grandmother's house. Wow. An actual mommy sick day today! Can you tell how excited I am? Yes, I will miss my pastor's Bible study today as I don't want to share my germs. But just getting to spend the day resting and recharging is a blessing in and of itself.

Jesus Is Lord
The title of this post says it all. The most amazing thing happened Sunday, April 9, Resurrection Sunday. I was dressing for church when my little girl came into the bathroom to watch me dress. I have a slide bracelet that has a slide with a cross on it. I put on the bracelet and she was looking at it. She saw the slide with the cross and said, "Jesus Is Lord". Now, my little one has just really started talking since turning 3 in February. She and I do pray together before bed every night. I don't recall ever saying to her Jesus is Lord. She might have heard it in her nursery class. But of all the days that she chooses to say this I get to hear it on the most important day for Christians. What a blessing this was to my ears and spirit.
